The year was 1987. A restaurant opened up on a small island off the coast of Maine. The name, Simply Chris. At Simply Chris the smell of fresh baked bread and Tina Turner singing on the radio hit you before opening the door.

Once inside, guests were treated to food made with simple ingredients, from scratch, with Christine’s special ingredient- LOVE.

Like my mother’s restaurant, I have chosen to embrace the basics and the simplicity of healing by using what mother nature has to offer. Food we nurture our bodies with, movement that promotes strength and flexibility, and skincare that nourishes. Finding your way back to health does not need to be complicated.

Waiting tables at Simply Chris while home for a two week vacation. Did I mention my mother was known for her Bear Pancakes?
